Formed in 2004, The Mosaic Company is a recognized innovator in our field; this status owes much to the combined strengths of the crop nutrition business of Cargill, Inc. and IMC Global Inc., our legacy companies. |

Saskatchewan celebrates the first potash producing underground mine, owned by IMC Global in Esterhazy – K1, after hitting potash on June 8. |

1964
Kalium builds the first solution mine in Belle Plaine, SK, near Moose Jaw. |

1967
Development of a second underground mine, K2, in Esterhazy, SK begins. |
|
1969
Central Canada underground mine in Colonsay SK, near Saskatoon, was built. |
