Recognizing Award-Winning Safety at Mosaic

April 22, 2026

The Mosaic Company’s Canadian Potash Operations hosted the 2026 Contractor Safety Awards in Regina, Saskatchewan, on March 12 - recognizing the strong safety partnership between contractors and our employees across Mosaic’s three potash operations – Esterhazy, Colonsay and Belle Plaine.

In 2025, contractors worked more than 1.6 million hours across our sites, supporting everything from shutdown maintenance and turnaround activities to major capital projects like the Belle Plaine Clusters, K2’s Hydrofloat, and environmental monitoring work.

Awards were presented to contractors who achieved outstanding results in three categories:

  • Category 1 – Safety Performance: 2,000+ hours worked with a RIFR below 0.66
(A total of 16 contractors received this award)
  • Category 2 – Workhorse: 100,000+ hours with zero recordable injuries
(Three contractors received this award - Cando Rail & Terminals, Topa Contracting L.P., and Cam Field Solutions Canada)
  • Category 3 – Leadership: Completion of an approved Risk Register project
(One contractor received this award - Ensign Drilling)

Congratulations to all the 2026 award recipients.
