Mosaic Launches Reconciliation Action Plan: 30 Actions by 2030
Mosaic Launches Reconciliation Action Plan: 30 Actions by 2030
In 2026, Mosaic launched its new Reconciliation Action Plan: 30 Actions by 2030 — the next phase of the company’s Indigenous engagement journey.
This Plan builds on more than eight years of progress and sets out clear, measurable actions that guide how we work with First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples in respectful, lasting, and practical ways. The launch of this new Reconciliation Action Plan is the next step.
Building on Progress
Over the past six years, Mosaic has made significant progress in strengthening its relationships with Indigenous communities. The company surpassed its 2025 targets of 15% across the three areas of procurement, community investment, and new workforce hires.
The company increased procurement with Indigenous-owned businesses to 19%, grew community investment spending with organizations that support Indigenous Peoples by 22%, and increased Indigenous representation in its Canadian new hires to 20%.
We are proud of the achievements made, but we know that there is more to be done. That is why Mosaic’s new Reconciliation Action Plan will propel this work forward by turning commitments into actions and accountability.

Our Four Pillars
Our Reconciliation Action Plan is organized around four pillars. Each connects to specific areas of our business and directs where action is taken.
Why It Matters
Mosaic’s potash operations are located entirely in Saskatchewan, and we take our role as a responsible employer and community partner seriously. We work closely with local communities, including the First Nations that neighbour our operations, to help Indigenous people — and our business — grow and thrive.
Indigenous Peoples make up approximately 17% of Saskatchewan’s population, the second highest proportion in Canada. With 70 First Nations represented across the province and almost 20 of those located in Treaty 4 territory near our Esterhazy operations, these relationships matter deeply to Mosaic, and shape how we work, who we partner with, and how we plan for the future.
Reconciliation is essential to building a strong workforce, resilient communities, and long-term social license to operate. Mosaic’s Reconciliation Action Plan directly supports our workforce needs by helping us:
- Build a stronger talent pipeline for our Esterhazy, Colonsay, and Belle Plaine operations
- Create meaningful employment opportunities for Indigenous youth
- Provide opportunities for rural and Indigenous workers who live nearest to our operations
- Encourage interest in skilled trades, applied learning, and mining careers
The Reconciliation Action Plan is both a reconciliation commitment and a business strategy — supporting Indigenous self-determination while strengthening Mosaic’s future workforce pipeline in Saskatchewan.

Reconciliation in Action
Economic reconciliation is a key focus of Mosaic’s work in Canada. Over the past six years, Mosaic has spent $256 million with Indigenous-owned businesses and partnered with 43 Indigenous-owned companies across Saskatchewan. These partnerships support our operations while creating shared value and opportunity in the communities where we work.
Mosaic also continues to invest in education, training, housing, food security, cultural initiatives, and community-led projects that reflect Indigenous priorities and leadership. Over the last six years, Mosaic has invested more than $7.4 million into Indigenous Community Investment and Sponsorship programs in Saskatchewan.
From workforce development programs and procurement partnerships to community investment and cultural support, the RAP brings these efforts together under a clear, accountable framework.
Looking Ahead
Mosaic’s Reconciliation Action Plan is not a one-time initiative. It is a living commitment that will guide the company’s actions through 2030, with progress shared publicly and updated regularly.
By moving forward together, through listening, partnership, and measurable action, Mosaic is committed to being a responsible employer, a trusted partner, and a long-term contributor to Saskatchewan’s future.
